Charlotte Atkins

Charlotte is the executive director for Cancer Navigators. Many in Rome and Northest Georgia remember her as the Editor of the Rome News-Tribune for many years. She has more than 20 years of management and executive leadership experience and has been a volunteer for several cancer-related organizations over the years. From the helm, she helps raise money and awareness to make sure navigation is available to all local cancer patients who need help.

Jamie Arendt

Jamie is a Patient Navigator with Cancer Navigators. Jamie has a Bachelors of Science Degree Psychology from Shorter College. Jaime has over 12 years of Social Services experience and will be helping to provide resources as well as performing assessments to all newly diagnosed cancer patients.

Denise C. Powers LCSW

Denise has a master degree in Social Network from the University of Georgia. She has 25 years experience in counseling individuals and families. She uses a variety of approaches to assist cancer patients and their families in coping with the emotions and changes that cancer brings.

Angela James M.Ed

Angela is the Service Navigator at Cancer Navigators. She helps cancer patients find resources for day-to-day living. She has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Master of Education degree in Education Leadership from William Carey University in Mississippi.

Julie B. Armas RN

Julie is a Nurse Navigator at Cancer Navigators. She has a degree in Science of Nursing. As a Nurse Navigator , Julie provides you with the support you need to access or understand the care you need. This skilled friend will enable you to find the strength that can lead to healing.

Scharla C. Battle

Office Manager of Cancer Navigators and is currently attending Georgia Highlands College for Nursing. She will help guide you to the Navigator you need depending on your needs.
